Additional Information
WORMING
All pets must be wormed with a broad spectrum allwormer every 3 months and be up to date with all heartworm prevention.
FLEA & TICK TREATMENT
To maintain a flea free environment we ask all our guests to be on flea control eg: Advantix, Frontline.
Over the summer months we ask all our guests have paralysis tick prevention, from the 1st September to 1st March each year, although we recommend protection be applied throughout the whole year. A TICK COLLAR is a great alternative that can last up to 2 months.
We do have a range of products available at reception so ask
our friendly staff for further information as not all products
prevent the deadly effects of Paralysis tick.
A $14 tick prevention product is very cheap insurance!!!
MEDICATION
Barkroyal’s trained staff can administer and monitor medication for $3.00 per
day. We do appreciate if medication can be provided in non breakable
containers with instructions.
INJECTIONS
Barkroyal’s trained staff can administer all injections for $5.00 per injection within office hours (8am – 5pm). We do not administer injections after hours.
SPECIAL DIETARY NEEDS AND PROVIDING PETS OWN FOOD
All dietary needs, which includes feeding food you have provided, are catered
for at $3.00 per day. Please portion all meals into separate
disposable bags/containers labelled with your PETS NAME and
DATE and AM/PM. It does take us extra time to feed and monitor
food that you have provided and therefore charge extra to do
so. The daily charge is not applicable for guests staying in
our luxury accommodation.
HYDROBATHING
A hydrobath fee of $25 will be charged if your pet is not clean or has fleas on
arrival, and will be payable on or before departure. We offer
a complimentary hydrobath to all guests staying in our Luxury
Accommodation. Guests staying in Standard Accommodation receive
a complimentary hydrobath with a minimum stay of 4 days. Hydrobaths
include a flea and tick wash, blow dry, ear clean, eye clean
and cologne spray. If you do not wish for your pet to be hydrobathed
please notify staff at check-in.
GROOMING
If you require extra grooming including clipping, hydrobathing, maintenance brushing/grooming, ear cleaning or nail clipping we can provide this at an additional charge.
AGGRESSIVE PETS
For the safety of our guests and staff at the Barkroyal, we DO NOT accept dogs that display or have displayed ANY signs of aggression towards other dogs or humans.
VETERINARY ATTENTION
Should your pet require veterinary attention, all costs will be passed directly onto you to be payable on or before departure. (refer to Barkroyal Terms & Conditions)
BARKROYAL TERMS & CONDITIONS
At check-in you will be required to sign our Terms & Conditions. They set out our requirements and policy’s so please read them carefully as your pet will not be permitted to board unless they are acknowledged and signed. They are available at reception for perusal at anytime. |
